UNIVERSAL pre-k & 3k

Our Early Childhood program is accepting students for 3K & Universal Pre-K!

The Early Childhood Department is located on the lower level of the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens and licensed through the Department of Education and Board of Health. Our program provides a rich learning environment where the children begin to show growth in cognitive, emotional, physical and social development.

VANNESSA FIGUEROA, DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD

“Our PreK program has proven transformative, igniting our youngest students' lifelong love for learning. Through a blend of nurturing environments, innovative curriculum, and dedicated educators, we witness the incredible growth of children's cognitive, social, and emotional capacities. It's inspiring to see that the foundation we lay here prepares them for academic success and shapes them into curious, confident individuals ready to embrace future challenges.”

What we’re up to…

The 3K/PreK program had a wonderful time learning all about butterflies and the different stages of life they transition through. The project just concluded with a "Butterfly Release Expose" where the kids and their teachers went to a local park to free the butterflies into the "wild.”

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

The first few years of a child’s development are extremely crucial. It is at this time that children learn about the existing world around them through their senses. During this critical stage of development, they activate their imagination and memory skills by engaging in play and developing their fine motor skills by manipulating and touching objects. Research has proven that much of what a child needs to succeed is acquired before kindergarten.

A SAFE AND HEALTHY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

With that in mind, the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens understands that choosing quality early childhood education in a safe and healthy learning environment is imperative for fostering a child’s cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development. Therefore, we implore parents to seek out early childhood centers that not only tailor programs to meet the needs of each child but also implement best practices in their daily rituals and routines within the classroom. It has been said that “it takes a village to raise a child,” and at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens, we strive to provide a strong supportive environment and memorable experiences and make them feel like we are their second home.

if you desire quality education, the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens is here to serve.
