Pre K and 3K
Our Early Childhood Program is currently fully enrolled for 3K & Universal Pre-K. However, please check in with us for possible openings. Spots may become available throughout the year.
Our Early Childhood Department is located on the lower level of the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens and is licensed by the Department of Education and the Department of Health. We provide a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, and grow. Through hands-on experiences and nurturing guidance, our students build a strong foundation in cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development.
Hours of Operation: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. We provide early drop-off and after-school hours.
VANNESSA FIGUEROA, DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD
“Our Pre-K program is where curiosity comes alive. We spark a lifelong love for learning by blending a nurturing environment with hands-on exploration, creative lessons, and passionate teachers who truly care. Every day, we see our little learners grow thinking bigger, feeling deeper, and connecting more confidently with the world around them. The foundation they build here doesn’t just prepare them for school — it empowers them to shine, explore, and take on every new challenge with excitement and joy.”
What we’re up to…
The 3K/PreK program had a wonderful time learning all about butterflies and the different stages of life they transition through. The project just concluded with a "Butterfly Release Expose" where the kids and their teachers went to a local park to free the butterflies into the "wild.”
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
The first few years of a child’s development are extremely crucial. It is at this time that children learn about the existing world around them through their senses. During this critical stage of development, they activate their imagination and memory skills by engaging in play and developing their fine motor skills by manipulating and touching objects. Research has proven that much of what a child needs to succeed is acquired before kindergarten.
A SAFE AND HEALTHY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
With that in mind, the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens understands that choosing quality early childhood education in a safe and healthy learning environment is imperative for fostering a child’s cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development. Therefore, we implore parents to seek out early childhood centers that not only tailor programs to meet the needs of each child but also implement best practices in their daily rituals and routines within the classroom. It has been said that “it takes a village to raise a child,” and at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens, we strive to provide a strong supportive environment and memorable experiences and make them feel like we are their second home.
if you desire quality education, the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens is here to serve.
